Hi, I’m Izzy, and I just really love adventures.
Like a lot of people, my adventures started closer to home. I spent my childhood exploring the local villages on my bike, clambering up mountains in the UK countryside, and sailing (and inevitably swimming) in the North Sea.
Despite a growing wanderlust, developed through novels describing far off lands and unexpected quests, I didn’t actually start to explore wider than the UK coastline until much later. Now, however, I’ve travelled far and wide, making sure to embrace each destination with a healthy dose of adrenaline and curiosity. This has led to some amazing experiences and I’ve learnt a lot along the way. Some of that knowledge I would like to share with you in the hope that you can experience these highs too .
A few of my favourite things
Hiking
As a child I thought hiking was a punishment. I would complaint repeatedly from the moment I heard a walk was on the menu until I actually stepped foot on trail and realised I was actually quite enjoying myself.
Since then, my hiking adventures have exponentially escalated from day hikes in the Scottish mountains, to a week solo-hiking the West Highland Way, trekking the Tour Du Mont Blanc, and most recently thru-hiking the Te Araroa, a 3,000km, 4-month trail across Aotearoa New Zealand.

Sailing
Seeing coastlines from the outside, watching the tides and waves, travelling purely on the power of the wind is a beautiful feeling. Island-hopping in the Adriatic and watching dolphins off the west coast of Scotland have allowed me to witness coastlines from a while new perspective.
Scuba
A whole new world awaits below the waves. Due to the ingenious invention of a scuba tank, I’ve had the privilege of swimming with turtles in Indonesia and watching bull sharks in Fiji.
